How can I report illegal content at Wallapop?
Wallapop, in line with the obligations set out in the DSA (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065), has created a form so that anyone can report illegal content on Wallapop.
To do so, please contact us using the button available at the end of the page.
Which type of content I can report?
This form is only available to report illegal content that you have located on our platform.
Illegal content is defined as information and/or content posted on the platform that is illegal under the applicable laws of a country.
In the form, you will be able to indicate the specific reasons why you consider the content to be illegal.
Please note that any report submitted through the form that does not correspond to a report of illegal content on our platform will not be processed.
Please remember that if you wish to report other conducts or contents that are not illegal, you should contact us through the following channels:
- Any report of content contrary to our terms and conditions must be made through the “report product” button available in the listing of a specific product. You can obtain further information here.
- If you want to report the inappropriate behaviour of another Wallapop user, you can find further information in the following link.
What information should I provide in the form?
- Identification and contact details (name and surname and email address).
- Link where the content is hosted. Remember that, in the event that the content is hosted in multiple links, you can include up to a total of 20 links. It is important that the reported content is reported for the same reason.
You will need to make separate requests for content that needs to be reported for different reasons.
- Which country's regulations indicate that the content is illegal. If possible, please provide details of the specific regulation.
- The reasons why you consider the content to be illegal. We will ask you to (i) select the specific reason why you consider the content to be illegal (from the list provided) and (ii) provide a clear and detailed explanation of why you consider the content to be illegal (within the "Description" field of the form).
Given the possible consequences of a report of illegal content, it is necessary that your report is sufficiently accurate and contains sufficient evidence to prove that the content is illegal. This will allow us to properly evaluate your report and make a decision.
What happens after I report illegal content?
- After receiving your report, our moderation team will analyse it and check whether the reported content is (or not) illegal.
- We will not be able to process your report in case you have not provided us with sufficient information to assess whether the content is (or is not) illegal.
- If our moderation team considers that the content is illegal, they will proceed to take down the content from Wallapop.
- After the analysis of our moderation team, you will receive an email where we will inform you about whether we consider the content to be illegal or not. If you do not agree with our decision, you will have the opportunity of requesting us to review our decision through our procedure to review decisions. You can obtain further information here.
What happens if I send a lot of unfounded, fraudulent or offensive reports?
In line with the DSA, Wallapop may suspend the management of your reports if you frequently submit unfounded, fraudulent or offensive reports.
