What is DSA?
DSA is a European Union (EU) regulation (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065), which provides a set of rules and obligations applicable to online intermediaries offering services within the EU (including, but not limited, to online platforms) with the purpose of safeguarding and improving the functioning of the internal market.
How are you, as a trader, affected by this regulation
According to Article 30 of the DSA, starting from 17 February 2024, online platforms that allow consumers to conclude distance contracts with traders are required to ensure that such traders are traceable. Therefore, Wallapop has been required to gather and assess certain essential information and documentation about all those traders that use our platform.
Starting from 17 February 2024, if you identify your account as a “Professional” you will need to provide certain information and documentation to Wallapop following the steps indicated in the section below.
Note: This requirement does not affect the requirements of Directive 2021/514 (DAC7) that may also apply to you, which pursues other legitimate public interest objectives. For more information regarding DAC7 regulation, please consult the following link.
How to complete the required information and upload the documentation
You will be requested to fullfil a form with the required information and upload the documentation indicated therein.
With the purpose of complying with this legal obligation, we will request you to provide us with the following information/documents:

If you are a freelance:
- Name and surname
- Professional address
- Customer Support phone number and email address
- Copy of your identification document
- Statement that you undertake to offer only products or services that comply with applicable regulations.

If you operate through a legal entity:
- Company name
- Registered company address
- Copy of a simple note from the Commercial Registry
- The Commercial Registry in which the company is registered
- The company’s registration number

Once you have filled in the required information and uploaded the requested documents, we will assess and store it for the relevant purposes according to the law.
In some cases, in order to make best efforts to assess the information and documentation provided, we might request you to provide supporting documents. If this happens, we'll ask you to provide these documents.
You will be able to edit the information at any time if you detect an error or need to make any modifications accessing the form located at Settings > Your legal information in your profile. Please make sure that the information is updated at all times.
What happens if you don’t provide the required information or you don’t upload the documentation?
As mentioned before, if you want to use our platform as a trader, you will have to provide us with all the required information and upload the documentation indicated within the form provided.
If you do not provide the required information nor upload the documentation indicated or you do not provide it on time, we will refuse to allow you to use the platform.
Additionally, if we consider that part or the totality of the information or documentation that you provide us is inaccurate, incomplete or not up-to-date, we will request you to remedy the situation without delay or within the legal period required. If this happens, you will be notified.
In case you do not correct or complete that information or documentation, we will suspend immediately the provision of your services until the request has been fully complied with.

How will Wallapop process the data included within the form
If you are self-employed, you will provide us with personal data from you. In this case, Wallapop, S.L., as data controller, will process such data with the purpose of complying with the identification obligations set out in the DSA.
